Domenico Starnone, Walter Siti, Giancarlo Di Cataldo, Teresa Ciabatti among the protagonists of the “Positano Racconta” festival dedicated to the «World to come», curated by Nicola Lagioia and promoted by the De Sanctis Foundation, which ended Sunday evening in Positano. This is Nicola Lagioia’s comment on the closing of the event: “Final evening in Positano Tell, with a Flavio Gioia square full of people from 6pm to 11pm, with three of the five finalists, Emanuele Trevi, Teresa Ciabatti and Giulia Caminiti at the Strega Prize in dialogue with a very passionate public, and with the director of the Bellonci Foundation, Stefano Petrocchi, who also came to follow the event. Giuseppe Catozzella and Donatella Di Pietrantonio, moderated by Pierluigi Razzano, told Italy through the present and the past, and two very intense stories of sisterhood. Teresa Ciabatti and Lorenza Pieri described the Tuscan province and Orbetello as literary places and scenarios from which to look at the recent history of our country. Emanuele Trevi spoke about his “friendship trilogy”, three books with which, in recent years, he has reconstructed the literary (and in a certain sense, as far as he is concerned, sentimental) history of our country. Concita De Gregorio told how perhaps the period we have gone through in the last year and a half has changed us, and how it has changed children and adults differently. Giulia Caminito talked about marginality, female voices, mother-daughter relationships investigated through the novel ».

The mayor’s announcement

The event was closed by the mayor of Positano Giuseppe Guida and the president of the De Sanctis Foundation Francesco De Sanctis, greeting with satisfaction the many present and giving everyone an appointment for the second edition next year. The mayor commented: “Six days in which there was a succession of national and international writers, special guests, including three finalists of the 2021 Strega Prize. revealed true friends during the pandemic period, at the current moment of recovery, from the relationship that exists between past and future with the involvement of all generations, up to the feeling of belonging to their own land. Yesterday, in fact, the central focus of the events was the important message of union between the south and the north of the world
