A suspect for possession of firearms is wanted by the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).

The suspect is 19-year-old Steve Napoleon. He is 6’3″ tall and weighs 145 lbs.

Last Saturday, around 9:30 p.m., a vehicle was intercepted at the intersection of rue Jean-Talon Est and avenue Christophe-Colomb.

Two firearms were seized from the vehicle. Driver Andrews Joseph Menard, 25, was apprehended and appeared at the courthouse to face multiple charges related to possession of firearms.

Since this event, investigators have been trying to locate Steve Napoleon, who is still wanted.

Three attempted murders in Montreal North

In the same press release, the SPVM recalls that in the 24 hours preceding the arrest, three attempted murders took place in the borough of Montreal-North.

Friday around 6 p.m., a 33-year-old man was the target of shots fired by the occupants of a moving vehicle at the intersection of boulevard Rolland and rue Arthur-Chevrier.

Saturday around 2:20 a.m., two men aged 25 and 32 seated in a parked car were in turn targeted by the occupants of a moving vehicle at the corner of Avenue de Bruxelles and Rue Monselet.

Saturday around 6:45 p.m., a 27-year-old man was hit by bullets at the intersection of rue Pascal and boulevard Rolland.

The victims were all taken to hospital, but there is no fear for their lives.
