An Arab singer from East Jerusalem named Bashar Murad may take part in the pre-Eurovision contest in Iceland, one of the countries hostile to Israel in the contest, which has threatened not to participate due to Israel’s participation in the contest. Iceland is considering whether to withdraw from the Eurovision contest following Israel’s participation, but it allowed whoever wins the pre-Eurovision to take the final decision whether to perform or not, all because of Israel. Iceland, by the way, is badly remembered for a rather stupid provocation at Eurovision 2019 hosted by Israel, when they waved the PLO flag live.
