The BancoPosta Digital Piggy Bank is a digital service, completely free, which allows you to accumulate small amounts of money to achieve savings goals. The Piggy Bank, explains Poste Italiane, is a service available in the BancoPosta App, also available in the Postepay App, intended for holders of a Smart Booklet and at least one product between a BancoPosta current account and a Postepay Evolution card, all enabled to operate in the App. The Piggy Bank allows you to create savings objectives on your Smart Booklet powered by your Postepay Evolution card and / or BancoPosta current account. It is possible to create up to a maximum of five savings objectives at the same time for a maximum total amount of 5 thousand euros. To create the goal, the customer chooses the amount he intends to accumulate, the date by which to reach it (from 1 to 24 months) and the related category (such as travel, leisure), with the possibility of customizing it.
The customer, underlines the company, will be able to recover the amount paid on his goal at any time regardless of its achievement. Using the sharing feature, it is possible to ask friends and relatives for a contribution to reach the goal faster. To facilitate the achievement of the goal, three different methods of automatic payment are available: recurring payment, the customer chooses whether to pay from their Bancoposta Account or from the PostePay Evolution Card on the specific goal, setting the frequency (daily, weekly, fortnightly and monthly) and the termination of the recurring automatism (at a predetermined date or at the expiry of the target); payment from the “Your Expenses” budget, establishes your monthly spending budget in the service available in the BP App by setting the maximum amount you intend to spend. Then it creates the automatism, choosing whether to pay the entire sum resulting from the difference between the budget amount and the sum actually spent or a part of it on the objective; payment by rounding, the customer arranges automatic payment by choosing the rule with which to round up the sums spent using the Postamat Card (debit card associated with the BancoPosta current account) or the PostePay Evolution Card.
The service allowed Poste Italiane to win first place in the AIFIn “Financial Innovation – Italian Awards” for the year 2020 in the Savings category.
