Postponement of the examination of bill 54.23 to “deepen its study” (Mr. Baitas)
Rabat – Rabat – The Government Council postponed the examination of bill n° 54.23, modifying and supplementing law n° 65.00 relating to compulsory basic health insurance, as well as other specific provisions, with a view to “to deepen its study at a future government council meeting, said Thursday the Minister Delegate in charge of Relations with Parliament, government spokesperson, Mustapha Baitas.
“The government considered it necessary to deepen the examination of this project and to debate its content and the actions to be taken with a view to approving it when it responds to the various questions relating to it, before following the various legislative procedures at the level of the Houses of Councilors and Representatives”, explained Mr. Baitas during a press briefing following the Council.
And note that Bill No. 54.23 responds to the articles of framework law 09.21 relating to social protection, which stipulates the need to unify the organizations responsible for managing the Compulsory Health Insurance (AMO) system.
In this regard, Mr. Baitas stressed that the government developed Bill No. 54.23 in order to implement the content of framework law 09.21 relating to social protection, considering that this step is a major and profound reform. which concerns many parties, actors, partners and members.
