Potosi women receive more support from the state DIF with menstrual kits

The State System for the Comprehensive Development of the Family (DIF), began the delivery of Menstrual Kits for women aged 13 to 35, of whichs municipalities of Soledad de Graciano Sánchez, Villa de Pozos and the colony Third Girl in San Luis Potosiwhich begins the distribution of more than 30 thousand packages of organic products that generate greater well-being for the people of Potosí and significant savings for their economy.

The honorary president of the State DIF, Ruth González Silva, commented that in accordance with the policy of support for the women of San Luis Potosí, which has been instructed by the Governor of San Luis Potosí, Ricardo Gallardo Cardona, these kits will arrive in the four regions of the State, and during the delivery, staff from the agency will provide awareness talks, in order to go through this natural process in a dignified, healthy and taboo-free manner.

She highlighted that this program contributes to generating a positive change in terms of menstrual health and management at a national level; in addition to representing an innovative proposal from the State Government of Ricardo Gallardo, in terms of social programs with a gender and human rights perspective.

In addition to the menstrual kits, González Silva, accompanied by multidisciplinary staff from the State DIF, delivered blankets, wheelchairs and other technical aids, as a complement to the support that people in the area had previously requested from the social assistance agency.
