Events take place on November 29th and 30th, at the Hotel Deville Prime, in Porto Alegre (RS)
The Poultry Organization of Rio Grande do Sul (ASGAV/SIPARGS) is promoting the 5th Symposium Updates on Poultry Health and 4th Industrial Quality Meeting, which takes place on the 29th and 30th of November, at the Hotel Deville Prime, in Porto Alegre (RS) .
The program of the 5th Symposium Updates on Poultry Health includes panels with lectures that involve themes on challenges facing Avian Influenza, strategies for monitoring and controlling salmonella, animal welfare legislation and new technologies. “Our objective is to promote discussions on current topics, as well as bring knowledge to the sector through lectures given by experts”, highlights the executive president of ASGAV/SIPARGS, Mr. José Eduardo dos Santos.
The event features a panel that brings together experts who will discuss the year in which Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza arrived in Brazil. The panel includes the participation of Dr. Daniela de Queiroz Baptista – Head of the Poultry Health Division, of the Animal Health Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA), Dr. Ananda Kowalski – Coordinator of the State Poultry Health Program – SEAPI-RS and Mr. Marcelo Osório, representative of the Brazilian Animal Protein Association – ABPA
The ASGAV/SIPARGS executive also highlighted that, similarly, the 4th Industrial Quality Meeting will address relevant technical-scientific content with panels that involve current issues such as risk-based inspection, innovations for packaging, sustainability and good practices for the refrigeration industry. “In addition to discussing current and relevant issues for poultry farming, we will also have networking moments”, declared Santos.
Among the topics, the perspectives for poultry meat inspection in Brazil and the importance of interaction between the field and industry will be discussed. The panel entitled “updating the health inspection system in the poultry meat industry” will feature presentations from experts on the subject: Dr. Elenita Ruttscheidt Albuquerque (MAPA) and Dr. Liris Kindlein, professor at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul South (UFRGS).
On the 29th and 30th of November, the 5th Symposium Updates on Poultry Health and the 4th Industrial Quality Meeting will take place at the Hotel Deville Prime: Avenida dos Estados, no 1909, Bairro Anchieta, Porto Alegre (RS).
