• Power outage in several districts of Bern.
• The interruption lasted about an hour.
• Shortly after 1 PM, customers of the Bernese energy supplier Energie Wasser Bern (EWB) were back online.

The only exception was some buildings around the sports complex Ka-We-De, as EWB stated.

Affected by the power outage were parts of the Kirchenfeld district, the Obstberg, the city center, and the Breitenrain district, as EWB spokeswoman Sabine Krähenbühl said in a request to Keystone-SDA.

The power outage also impacted businesses in the city center. The EWB’s emergency service was deployed to locate and fix the issue.

According to Krähenbühl, the power outage occurred due to a technical failure at the substation in Schosshalde.
