No Winner in Saturday’s Powerball Drawing; Jackpot Soars to $1.55 Billion

Monday, October 9, 2023 7:20PM – By Nadine El-Bawab

The Powerball jackpot continues to grow as no winner was declared in Saturday’s drawing, resulting in the prize reaching an estimated $1.55 billion for the next drawing.

The winning numbers drawn for Saturday’s jackpot were 47, 54, 57, 60, 65, and the red Powerball number 19. The Power Play multiplier for the drawing was 3.

The Powerball jackpot has not been won since the July 19, 2023 drawing, leading to 34 consecutive drawings with no jackpot winners. This marks the first time in Powerball history that back-to-back jackpot cycles have generated billion-dollar grand prizes.

“This has become another record-breaking jackpot in the Powerball game, and we’ve had several factors align at the right time to be able to support back-to-back billion-dollar jackpots in a matter of months,” said Drew Svitko, Powerball product group chair and Pennsylvania Lottery executive director.

Svitko urges players to play responsibly and sign their tickets, stating, “While dreaming about winning a billion-dollar Powerball jackpot is exciting, please remember to play responsibly and sign your ticket. We look forward to drawing the winning numbers tomorrow night!”

The current $1.55 billion prize surpasses the previous record of $1.08 billion won in California on July 19.

Powerball states that the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million, highlighting the immense challenge facing participants.

The upcoming drawing is scheduled to take place on Monday, just before 11 p.m. Eastern Time.
