Powerful 6.1 Richter Earthquake in the Philippines..!

A powerful earthquake hit the Philippines. The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake struck at 2 a.m. local time at a depth of 11 km at Miaga on the country’s Masbate Island.

The earthquake was recorded as 6.1 on the Richter scale. Buildings were shaken by the earthquake. Due to this, the people who were fast asleep froze in panic.

Aftershocks occurred about 1 hour after the earthquake. As a result, people left their homes and took shelter in the streets. No tsunami warning was issued following the earthquake.

There are no reports of any damage due to the earthquake so far. 41,000 people have been killed so far in 3 powerful earthquakes in Turkey last week.

Similarly, a powerful earthquake of magnitude 6.1 occurred in New Zealand yesterday.
