A powerful earthquake shook the eastern Mediterranean country of Cyprus on Tuesday.
The quake measured 6.1 on the Richter scale.
50 km from the west coast of the country. At a distance of 25 km. The epicenter was reported below the ground, according to the Cyprus Geological Survey. The epicenter was reported below the ground, however; no tsunami alert was issued.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage from the quake.
