Domenico Pozzovivo achieved his goal and will not hang up his bike. The 40-year-old rider has everything agreed with Israel Premier Tech and even plans to debut with his new team next week, in Tirreno Adriatico.

The Italian is a solid and current cyclist who, for example, finished 8th in the last Giro d’Italia. Without a place in Intermarché due to monetary reasons, the athlete was left “hanging” at the worst time of the year, that is, the end of the season, when the squads have their squads closed.

Fortunately for him, Israel arrived with his bulging Canadian wallet and his mania for signing veteran runners to save him from retirement. This was confirmed by Pozzovivo to Tutto Bici: “Almost everything is ready with Israel-Premier Tech,” he said. “The team is finalizing paperwork with the UCI and then they will announce my contract,” he added.

“They want to speed up the process so that I can be in Tirreno on Monday,” revealed the little climber. “It will not be easy because I will find new materials, but I want to compete so much that I will do what is necessary,” he closed.
