The Police and Border Guard Board (PPA) on Thursday, at the suggestion of the Security Police (KAPO), annulled the residence permit of a woman who, by acting in favor of Russia, posed a threat to the security of Estonia, writes BNS.

“Cooperating with members of the Russian Influence Network and pursuing a policy that divides society brings serious consequences. In order to prevent the threat posed by such activities and potential future violations, the PPA, at the suggestion of the Security Police, canceled Zoya Palyamar’s Estonian residence permit and banned her from entering the Schengen area for ten years,” Kapo told BNS. Stateless Palyamar is currently in Russia.

The Security Police Board has repeatedly publicly explained that the use of the principles of a democratic rule of law in Estonia in support of the Russian policy aimed at dividing society is an open threat to security. “We have repeatedly called on the people of Estonia to refuse to participate in such activities,” said Kapo.

The residence permit is canceled for security reasons, if there is reason to see a threat to the constitutional order and to prevent potential violations in the future.
