“I, Prabowo Subianto, seriously ask the Indonesian people, especially the 96.2 million Indonesian people who have chosen the Prabowo-Gibran pair, not to take any action in front of the Constitutional Court Building or in other places in order to maintain the coolness of democracy, maintain the unity and integrity of the nation,” said Prabowo in a written statement in Jakarta, Friday (19/4).
Prabowo said he understood the accusations leveled by his rivals in the 2024 General Election Results Dispute (PHPU) case, but he appealed to his supporters to remain cool and peaceful, because 96.2 million Indonesians had taken a very clear attitude.
“We understand that Prabowo-Gibran supporters are really very disturbed and have quite touching reactions, but we ask supporters of the Prabowo-Gibran pair who have exercised their right to vote so much to always be alert and always be careful and not be easily provoked, especially by other parties. “which creates an atmosphere that is not cool and peaceful,” said Prabowo.
The president-elect said that acting with restraint and not being reactive does not mean a weak attitude, but prioritizing the interests of the people and nation to maintain the unity and unity of Indonesia.
“I reiterate that let us be calm, cool, restrain ourselves, ask the institutions to ask the MK judges to carry out their noble duties with wisdom by always prioritizing the interests of the Indonesian nation and people, for the sake of the Indonesian nation we love,” he said.
The Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka National Campaign Team (TKN) also appealed to supporters of candidate pair number 2 not to take action at the Constitutional Court this Friday.
“We as TKN Prabowo-Gibran Volunteer Commanders are responsible for canceling this action, and starting tonight our team will work until morning to carry out outreach to all supporters who have prepared their arrival at the peaceful demonstration which has gone viral on various social media and mass media, ” said TKN Commander for Volunteers (Golf) Haris Rusli Moti in Jakarta (18/4).
