jpnn.com – SAMARINDA – The Indonesian presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number 2 Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka has a landslide lead in East Kalimantan, based on plenary data from the 2024 General Election vote recapitulation of the East Kalimantan General Election Commission. Prabowo-Gibran won 1,542,346 votes in East Kalimantan.
In the open plenary meeting that lasted until Sunday afternoon, the Indonesian presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number 1 Anies Rasyid Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar was in second place with 448,046 votes. The Indonesian presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number 3 Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD received 240,143 votes.
“The number of valid votes in East Kalimantan for the incoming presidential election is 2,230,535 votes, while the number of invalid votes is 47,506 votes. The total number of valid and invalid votes is 2,278,041 votes,” said East Kalimantan KPU Chairman Fahmi Idris in Samarinda, Sunday (10 /3).
Of the witnesses from three presidential and vice presidential candidate pairs, only candidate pair number 2 signed the minutes of the 2024 presidential election recapitulation results.
Fahmi said that the witnesses for candidate pairs number 1 and 3 did not want to sign the minutes of the 2024 election results because they had objections or notes related to the election process.
“Even without a signature, the mechanism continues to run. This means it is still carried out according to the existing stages. So, we don’t have any problems,” said Fahmi.
He said that this did not interfere with the mechanism for announcing election results which was regulated in KPU Regulation (PKPU) Number 5 of 2024.
Fahmi added that for the legislative election results, all witnesses from the political parties that passed to the DPR RI signed the minutes of the recapitulation results, except for those from the Democratic Party who raised objections regarding the vote results.
Prabowo-Gibran have a landslide lead in East Kalimantan. Prabowo-Gibran won 1,542,346 votes in East Kalimantan.
