jpnn.com – Gerindra Daily Chairman Sufmi Dasco Ahmad said that the name of his party’s candidate for governor or deputy governor for the DKI Jakarta Pilkada is already in the political party chairman’s pocket bearing the head of the Garuda bird, Prabowo Subianto.
Dasco spoke in this way in response to the media crew’s question about the names that Gerindra would push to contest in the DKI Jakarta Regional Election.
“If you want to talk about the DKI Regional Election (Jakarta, ed), God willing, the names of those who will run are already in Mr Prabowo’s pocket,” he told media crew in Jakarta, Thursday (9/5).
The Deputy Chair of the DPR RI continued that the names that Gerindra would encourage to contest in the DKI Jakarta Pilkada came from internal cadres.
“Then there are two options. One of the two options is that there must be Gerindra cadres, either as governor or deputy governor and this will be brought up at the coalition meeting,” said Dasco.
However, he could not answer the names that were already in Prabowo’s pocket and then pushed by Gerindra to contest in the 2024 DKI Jakarta regional elections.
Dasco said that the names that Gerindra will push as contestants for the DKI Jakarta Regional Election will be announced in June 2024.
“There will be time for what Mr. Prabowo has in his pocket to announce it. God willing, next month. End of next month. We think so,” said the legislator for Electoral District III Banten.
