Alexander’s story radically changes the August 10, 2021. A day like any other, a journey to work that turns into a nightmare. While riding along the narrow and winding roads of the coast, Alessandro lost control of his scooter on an oil slick, falling violently and suffering a spinal cord injury. The consequences were devastating: the loss of use of legs and one paralysis that would change the course of his life forever.
After the accident, Alexander faced asurgical operation lasted well 11 and a half hoursa very delicate operation that saved his life. However, the road to recovery was just beginning. A long and difficult rehabilitation process followed, lasting about 10 months. He spent the first 50 days in Telese Terme, while the rest of the time he spent at the Montecatone Hospital, one of the most renowned rehabilitation centers in Italy, where Alessandro worked hard to stabilize his clinical picture and adapt to his new condition.
After three years of struggling with physical pain and psychological challenges, Alessandro made a decision that would surprise many: to return to work as a bartender. But not just anywhere, but once again as a “Lady Clelia“, a place that decided to believe in him, giving him a new chance. In collaboration with the staff of the place, a special station was created, designed by Alessandro himself. This new station was built to adapt to his needs and allow him to work with the same passion and professionalism as always.
Today, Alessandro is back behind the counter, serving cocktails and smiles to customers in Praiano. His story it is not solo an example of determinationbut also a powerful message about the ability of thehuman being to adapt, to fight and to reinvent himself.
