TN Prathapan MP has lauded Vineeth Sreenivasan’s Hridayam for starring Pranav Mohanlal, Kalyani Priyadarshan and Darshana in the lead roles. “The heart was a heartwarming cinematic experience and the accuracy shown by the cast in selecting the characters is commendable,” the MP said in a note shared on Facebook.

‘Hridayam’, produced by Visakh Subramaniam under the banner of Maryland Cinema, was written and directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan. On the first day of its release, she went to the theater with her beloved Rema and her son Aashiq to see the film. Though it is known that this film is a modern day sentiment, Vineeth Sreenivasan’s high expectations for the film prompted him to enter the theater. I watched movies at night when I felt like I was free from the daily grind. I forgot my mind and body with the usual little fatigue. From the beginning, the physical experience of time and space became irrelevant throughout the three-hour cinematic experience.

The melodies, rhythms and visual moments that are extended to the heart. It’s been five years since Vineeth Sreenivasan’s last film, Jacob’s Kingdom, came out. I’m sure Vineet has a passion for music, a passion for cinema and a passion for art that will enable him to make such a beautiful film.

For those who fell in love at school and college, for those who had unrealistic human relationships, for those who have experienced the summer of friendship, summer, rain and snow, this film is a must-see. This movie is not a background of my student days. Yet it is an experience that comes to my mind. My mind believes that Pranav’s Arun, Darshan’s Darshan and Kalyani’s eternity are green lives with no exaggeration. The moments when we realize that Antony Beard, Maya, Selva, and Kali came into our lives with similar or similar or other similar feelings are a bad experience.

The story is based on the various life lessons that an engineering student named Arun encounters during his studies. In this film, we see a young man going straight for his life’s reasons of love, friendship, study and humanity. A young man who seeks the ‘peace’ of meaning in life while still working in engineering represents a life that we have all gone through or gone through.

Pranav Mohanlal has made this character Arun better. Perhaps Pranav’s performance was the reason why most people were curious about ‘Hridayam’. That, in turn, has been magnificent. I felt that the performances, especially with the negative expressions, were outstanding. Pranav reminded Mohanlal of ‘Amritham Gamaya’ in ragging scenes. Not only Pranav, but also Darshan, Kalyani, Ashwit Lal, Vijayaraghavan, Johnny Antony and Aju Varghese (I’m very happy to see this Aju Varghese on screen) have secured their place on the screen. The accuracy shown by the cast in selecting the characters is commendable.

The moment Arun’s character becomes a father, Jalaluddin Rumi’s words about his wife and child, which mean Jalaluddin Rumi’s words that he is looking for what he is looking for, and his words of marriage to Darshan, a man with a deep sense of reality who lives in the present and a sense of reality that lives beyond the emotions of the past and hopes for the future. Vineeth’s writing, directing and Vishwajit’s camera combine with Hisham’s music to make this film heartwarming.
What a mesmerizing music Hisham has composed for this film. That and each of the songs have different expressions. A variety of songs ranging from classical to modern music to Sufi music, as well as background music and small fragments of old songs and folk songs that bring home nostalgia, make the theater experience a unique spiritual experience.

Themes such as nostalgia, college life, and romance have been repeated many times. But Vineet presents chapters from his own life through his heart. ‘Heart’ is a film that says that it is the brilliance of the presentation, not the novelty of the theme, that decides whether to present a film that can captivate the audience in a very short period of time in the style of a three – hour film.

One part that touched me the most was the part where Arun and Nitya named their son. While this may be a case that many have already predicted, this scene is becoming one of the most beautiful statements about human relationships. At that time I felt that the whole theater was filled with that one emotion. The character of Selva, the circle of learning he created, and Selva’s words that his only goal in life is to have his mother and father sleep peacefully, carry very small messages.

Arun’s character says that it’s a bad idea to walk away from a time when letters were written, hidden in a book, followed by waiting, hiding and hiding, and then looking around; Rather it is a direct reminder to the present audience. The comedy scenes in the film are also very special. This is the beauty of Vineet’s writing. Also, Johnny Antony, Ashwit Lal and Abhishek Joseph’s performances add to the laughter in the theater.

One of the things that I was most excited about and happy about was when the audience stood up and applauded with joy as Vineeth Sreenivasan’s name appeared at the beginning and end. That is an acknowledgment. Recognition of brilliance for capturing the mind of the audience. I would say that Vineeth is a genius with extraordinary talents in Malayalam cinema.
Thank you Vineet, Pranav, Hisham, Visakh … yours; Not to our heart.
