Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who joined the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance in 2017, announced yesterday that he would quit the alliance due to differences with the BJP. Following this, Nitish Kumar has re-established government in the state of Bihar with the support of Rashtriya Janata Dal led by Lalu Prasad Yadav’s son Tejashwi Yadav.
In this case, Prashant Kishore, who is a close friend of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and an election planner, said:
I hope political stability will return in Bihar. Nitish Kumar has said that he is going to start a new chapter. I hope he fulfills the wishes of the people of Bihar. Since 2013-14, there has been an attempt to form a government for the 6th time in the state of Bihar. This political instability has continued for the last 10 years.
People expect this alliance with Rashtriya Janata Dal to last and to be in tune with the people’s thoughts. It remains to be seen whether the new government will perform better than the previous one.
Tejashwi Yadav is the single largest party leader in Bihar. People are going to see how he performs in this new government. I don’t think this alliance was formed with the intention of creating an alternative opposition party to the BJP at the national level.
I have never heard Nitishku Mar say that he is fit for PM. I didn’t hear the opposition coming together and saying this is the way, this is the way to go. Let the people decide who is the Prime Minister. Even if Nitish Kumar is the candidate, all the parties should accept it.
