Patna: Political strategist-turned-politician Prashant Kishor on Sunday attacked Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, accusing him of running his government through four “retired bureaucrats”. Addressing a press conference here three days before forming his own political party, Kishor pledged to remove JDU president Kumar from power.
‘Three S’ will become an issue
He also claimed that the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections will be fought on the issue of ‘three S’ i.e. ‘liquor’, ‘survey’ (land) and ‘smart meter’. Kishor said these issues would prove to be “the final nail in the coffin of the current regime”. Prashant Kishore is continuously engaged in promoting Jan Suraj. He has also organized several party conferences in Patna.
5 lakh crores are needed to improve the education system in Bihar, PK said – the need will be met through liquor sales tax.
Big attack on Nitish
Kishor alleged that the Nitish Kumar government is being run by four retired bureaucrats. The Chief Minister is in the clutches of these babus. Neither Kumar nor these bureaucrats are aware of the problems of the people. Kumar has changed now. He has lost his morality and is only interested in preserving the Chief Minister’s chair.
PK set out to deal with Nitish-Lalu, how will he deal with ‘JK’? This is the real ‘player’ of the ‘game’!
Jan Suraj Party
His ‘Jan Suraj’ initiative will become a political party on October 2. Kishore said that when we form the government in Bihar after the 2025 assembly elections, we will end liquor prohibition within an hour. He said that liquor ban is only on paper. The ground reality is that liquor shops have been closed, but ‘home delivery’ is going on in full swing.
Prohibition is fake – PK
Kishore said that Jan Suraj has been against prohibition since the beginning, because the prohibition law in the state is ‘fake’… there is a loss of revenue of Rs 20,000 crore every year. Liquor mafia and officials are earning money from illegal trade. Jan Suraj Pramukh said that whether I get women’s vote or not, I will continue to speak against liquor prohibition, because it is not in the interest of Bihar.
