jpnn.comJAKARTA – Pratama Arhan will still be called up to the Indonesian National Team. This certainty was conveyed by the Indonesian National Team Coach Shin Tae Yong, on Friday (23/8).

Shin confirmed that he would still call Pratama Arhan to the national team, despite having been hesitant to call up the defender who has not played much for his club, Suwon FC, in the South Korean League.

“Before this problem (Arhan’s personal problem) I was already thinking about whether to choose him or not, because even in the Korean League he was not on Suwon FC’s list at all,” Shin told reporters in Jakarta on Friday (23/8).

“However, I finally chose Arhan to be brought to the national team and after the consideration was complete, then something like this happened,” Shin continued.

Arhan only played one match for Suwon FC last May when they met Jeju United.

In that match, Arhan received a red card after only appearing for three minutes, resulting in a two-match ban and until now he has not been included in the Suwon FC squad list.

However, Shin assessed that Arhan is one of the important pillars of the Garuda squad and a hard-working player who would be a shame if he did not make it to the national team.

However, Shin emphasized that there is no guarantee that Arhan will automatically be played in the Garuda squad, considering that the competition for his position is very tight after the arrival of Calvin Verdonk and Shayne Pattynama.

Pratama Arhan will still be called by Shin Tae Yong to join the Indonesian National Team. Check out Shin Tae Yong’s explanation.
