Surya starrer ‘Etharkum Thuninthavan’ is out today. After two and a half years, Surya’s movie has been well received in the theaters. Surya’s return to the theaters is said to have made ‘Etharkum Thuninthavan’ great. Etharkkum Thunindhavan audience response on social media that the film is a mass emotional entertainer.
The film is directed by Pandiraj. Opinions are that there are a lot of emotional scenes in the second half. The theme of the film is such that it takes over the family audience as well. Surya is an actor who made a name for himself through ODT releases during the Kovid era. The films were ‘Surarai Potru’ directed by Sudha Konkara and ‘Jai Bhim’ directed by TJ Gnanavell. Priyanka Arul Mohan is the heroine in the movie ‘Etharkum Thuninthavan’ written and directed by Pandiraj himself. Pandiraj is best known for his films ‘Pasanka’, ‘Ith Namma Aal’ and ‘Namma Veetu Pillai’. Vinay Rai, Sathyaraj, Saranya Ponvannan, Suri, Sibi Bhuvanachandran, Devadarshini, MS Bhaskar and Jayaprakash will play the other roles. Cinematography by R Ratnavelu, Editing by Ruben, Music by D Imman. It’s the 40th film of Surya’s career.

After the third wave of Kovid, Ajith Kumar starrer ‘Valimai’ revived the theaters in Tamil Nadu. An Ajith Kumar movie is coming to the theaters after two and a half years. Despite the mixed response from the audience in the early days, the film did well at the box office. The movie, which hit theaters on February 24, has already hit the Rs 200 crore club.
34.12 crore on the first day from Tamil Nadu alone. 1.82 crore from Chennai alone! Ajith’s first Pan Indian release was released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi. The film was well received in other states of India and abroad, including Kerala. Within the first three days, the film was in the 100 crore club. This is the collection at the Gola box office. This is the fastest 100 crore achievement in Ajith’s career. It is also a film that made table profits with its pre-release business. The film had grossed Rs 62 crore with its distribution rights in Tamil Nadu alone. 3.5 crore from Kerala and 5.5 crore from Karnataka. The Hindi version received Rs 2 crore and the distribution rights in foreign markets received another Rs 16 crore. Table profit before release was Rs 11 crore. Surya starrer ‘Etharkum Thuninthavan’ is expected to be a hit from Tamil Nadu after Ajith’s ‘Valimai’.
