Muscat: The Pravasa Kairali Sahitya Award of the Indian Social Club Malayalam Section of Oman has been given to writer and Vayalar Award winner K.R. To Meera. The novel ‘Arachar’, which received the Central Sahitya Akademi Award and the Vayalar Award, was chosen as the award-worthy work.
In the ‘Sarga Sangeetham 2023’ program organized at Alfalaj Hall, Ruvi on Friday, January 27 at 6 pm, Malayalam Section Convener P. Sreekumar and KR Meera will present the award. Entry to the event, which will also feature a choir led by playback singer Unnimenon, will be restricted by pass. On January 28 at the Malayalam section hall, K. R. Meera will attend. The Indian Social Club Malayalam Section, which has been operating in Oman for 25 years, has always been at the forefront of providing literary, cultural and social visual entertainment for the Malayalam lovers of Oman, the organizers said.
