PRD rejects Nora Arias’ vote in favor of Judicial Reform

Leaderships of the Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD) rejected the support of the legislator Nora Arias to the Judicial Reforman action that they described as a betrayal of citizenship who voted for his political force.

On the other hand, the leaders recognized that it is necessary to review the judicial system, however, they stressed that it must be done through a national dialogue that allows for building a change with the aim of improving it, while guaranteeing the autonomy of powersand the labor and human rights of workers in the Judiciary.

The members of the PRD in the capital expressed that it is necessary to emphasize that the election of around 1,600 judges and magistrates would entail an expense of 9 billion pesos, so they considered that priority should be given to the coverage of social programs and to guarantee that support for women is universal.

Members of the local PRD questioned whether, by acting in a permanent state of silence on issues that are sensitive to citizens, and with the recent vote in favor of the Judicial Reform, it is possible for him to sustain himself as leader of the PRD bench.
