Pre-orders open for Sony’s new dualSense Edge professional grip

by time news

The multiple-choice PS5 wireless grip that Sony teased us about in August is now available for pre-order with a release date confirmed.

The DualSense Edge Grip is a high-performance Sony solution that has been designed with the intent of “offering diverse customization options.” This customization comes in both software and physical forms. You can replace the thumb sticks for example, as well as the ability to add custom buttons to the chassis on the back of the grip. You can also control the amount of pressure of the two rear firing buttons, adjust the sensitivity of the control, and move between different files to program the buttons as you like and directly.

Pre-orders for the DualSense Edge grip and accessories start October 25th in the US, UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. You’ll only be able to purchase the new grip at direct.playstation.com, and Sony cautioned they don’t have a huge stockpile so don’t be surprised if pre-orders close quickly. The grip will be officially released on January 26 at $199.99. Additional replaceable joysticks will cost you $19.99 separately and will be available on the same date.

For your $200, Sony will get a shielded USB cable, two standard size joysticks, two high and one low pair, back buttons and the same control grip. There is also a special carry case that has enough space for all those accessories and buttons.
