The Crafts Center for Arts and Culture -COPAC- of the UNA will open pre-registration for its diplomas in Electrical Installations for the Arts; Carpentry and Props for the Arts; Operation and Sound Recording, and Makeup and Characterization for the course from February 26, 2024 to March 11, 2024. The start of the course will be in April 2024.
The Diplomas are aimed at students between 18 and 30 years old (not exclusive) who want to train in arts trades. Students from popular sectors (beneficiaries Potenciar Trabajo, AUH, Program Acpañar, etc.) who require training for the labor field will be prioritized. After pre-registration, mandatory face-to-face interviews will be held for applicants who meet the requirements of the Diplomas.
The Trades Center provides training and training in trades for the arts and cultural industries and is especially aimed at young people from sectors historically excluded from training in the arts. The Center’s educational proposal seeks to provide significant training experiences; have the participation of social actors from the productive sectors of cultural industries; integrate technological innovation and recreate real work situations. COPAC’s training proposals were designed taking into account a survey on labor demands; needs of workers, and the main characteristics of the jobs in the different sectors of the cultural industries.
The Center operates in the neighborhood of La Boca -Caffarena 72- and its public educational proposal covers a vacant area, since there are no proposals for formal education in trades for the arts in the City of Buenos Aires from the public sphere with a perspective focused on the professionalization of knowledge and the inclusion of popular sectors. Its pedagogical proposal seeks to generate a virtuous process between education, arts, work and social integration and, in turn, facilitate the pedagogical continuity of young people with other instances of the UNA or the general and public educational system.
