Chennai: BJP president Annamalai said that precautionary measures should be taken to prevent influenza.
Regarding the spread of influenza, Tamil Nadu BJP President Annamalai posted on his Twitter page, “The spread of H1N1 influenza virus in Tamil Nadu has been increasing in Chennai and other districts for the past few days.
The increasing number of children coming for treatment with fever in many hospitals in Chennai is worrying. To control the spread of H1N1 influenza virus, the DMK government should take precautionary measures like conducting medical camps in schools with high number of students with the help of school education department and government doctors.
Masks should be made mandatory in public until the spread of H1N1 influenza virus is reduced. On behalf of the BJP, we earnestly request the people to give full cooperation to the government to prevent the spread of the disease,” the post said.
