Day 2 of the Premier League continues this Saturday with a multiplex of five games. A few minutes after Manchester United’s victory at Brighton (2-1), rival Manchester City welcomed Ipswich Town to the pitch of the Etihad Stadium. A meeting in which Pep Guardiola’s troops were in charge and mostly dominated (4-1). It took only a quarter of an hour to cover and the achievements of Erling Haaland (10th sp, 16th, 88th) and Kevin De Bruyne (14th). Samuel Szmodics’ opening score was nothing short of promising (7th). In another poster, Everton traveled to London to challenge Tottenham. But despite the good news regarding the upcoming takeover of the Eagle John Textor group, the Toffees fell against Spurs (7-0) with goals from Yves Bissouma (14th), Cristian Romero (71st) and Son Heung-min (25th , 77th).
A few kilometers from the Tottenham stadium, on the pitch of the Selhurst Park Stadium, Crystal Palace lost against West Ham (0-2) after goals from Tomáš Souček (67th) and Jarrod Bowen (72nd). As for Nottingham Forest, Nuno Espírito Santo’s players were satisfied with the minimum (0-1) thanks to Morgan Gibbs-White (70th). In the last game of the evening, Fulham and Leicester faced off on the Craven Cottage lawn. A controversial game between the two teams and it was successful for the locals (2-1) who were able to respond after the equalizer Wout Faes (40th). Emile Smith-Rowe (18th) and Alex Iwobi (70th) were the scorers for the Homers. Another busy day across the Channel with solid battles.
