Premier League teams will be harnessed for the benefit of Ukrainian refugees and will collect various groceries for them. MS Ashdod will of course also be part of the beautiful tribute

The chairman of the Football Association, Oren Hasson, this week wrote an official letter to all the football clubs in Israel to join them in an operation to assist the Ukrainian Football Association.

In his letter, Hasson notes: “Following the war between Russia and Ukraine, we have received a desperate request from the Ukrainian Football Association to help as much as we can.

The difficult situation of citizens, athletes, footballers in Ukraine requires us to mobilize and help those who now find themselves in terrible circumstances.

“We have chosen to lead a joint move together with all the football clubs in Israel, in which each of them will donate basic food equipment to the best of their ability.

The Football Association will also donate medical equipment, take care of collecting the food products from the points indicated in my application, pack the donations and transfer them to the border points from which the Ukrainian Association can collect the much-needed assistance to activists and activities within it.

“I am confident that the mobilization will be generous, a part of all the clubs and the glory of Israeli football and the State of Israel. My big thanks to everyone who joined the friendly, humane move, so much is requested.”

The products can be shipped by 31.03.2022, to the following collection points when they are packed in cartons, depending on the geographical proximity of each club.

The employees of the Football Association will be responsible for packing the packages and ensuring that they are transported in favor of arriving in Ukraine. This is similar to the fundraising campaign for needy families in Israel, which was led by the Football Association and generated a total of NIS 1.7 million in donations, which was translated into more than 11,500 food baskets.
