A weather assessment was held this evening (Tuesday) in Jerusalem, led by Mayor Moshe Leon, ahead of the peak of the expected storm at night. At the meeting, the activities of the entire municipal emergency system and the municipal bodies that provide services to the residents were coordinated.

According to the updated forecast, the stormy weather is expected to continue until tomorrow at noon with an emphasis on large amounts of precipitation. Early in the morning there may be snowflakes in the air in some neighborhoods of the city, which are not expected to pile up on the ground. The municipality stated that the studies will take place as scheduled – if it is decided otherwise, this will be published in the media and on the municipality’s website.

In addition, the municipality stated: “The municipal emergency headquarters, led by the municipality’s emergency and security department, has completed its preparations for the height of the storm and recommends that residents follow the instructions published on the municipality’s website. The municipality of Jerusalem works in coordination and cooperation with all emergency agencies, with the electric company and the Gihon Corporation, the Israel Police, Fire and Rescue, MDA and other auxiliary organizations and volunteers.
