Presentation of the book “Morocco-Palestine, the meetings with history” by the writer Ahmed El Biaz

The work of more than 500 pages, published in French and Arabic, is embellished with historical photographs illustrating official events that took place in Morocco and Palestine, which bear witness to the close ties between the two countries.

The book covers several milestones in the distinguished relations between Morocco and Palestine, Mr. El Biaz said in a statement to MAP.

This work, continued the former director of the National Airports Office, also highlights the role of the Kingdom in the construction of the Gaza airport, recalling that the first plane to land there was Moroccan.

For his part, academic Zakaria Aboudahab said that this book, which includes important data on the Palestinian cause, constitutes a reliable source rich in photographs.

The result of a major documentation effort, the work is also intended to be an important educational tool for researchers, students, professors and readers in general, he added.

For his part, the director in charge of the management of the Bayt Mal Al-Qods Acharif Agency, Mohamed Salem Cherkaoui, highlighted the importance of this book which underlines the strong ties between Morocco and Palestine.

The Palestinian ambassador to Morocco, Jamal Choubki, for his part, praised the constructive efforts of the Kingdom in supporting the Palestinian cause as well as the work accomplished by the writer to produce and publish this work.

This event, which was attended by political, cultural and academic figures, is part of the summer programming of the “Bayt Al-Maqdis” research and study center.
