The Municipality of Rhodes, the Museum of Modern Greek Art of the Municipality of Rhodes and Kukkida Publications invite you to the event for the presentation of Zeta Papandreou’s book “Space and traumatic memory. The refugee settlement of the Turko-Cretans of Rhodes”, on Saturday 9 March at 18.30, in the New Wing of Nestoridei Melathros.
The author Zeta Papandreou is a PhD in History and Teaching of History and a post-doctoral researcher at the National Technical University of Athens. Her book refers to the history of the Turko-Cretans and their settlement in Crete, but also to the history of the Muslims of Rhodes until today.
The book will be spoken by: Marianthi Georgalidou, professor of Linguistics, University of the Aegean, Dimitris Kypriotis, PhD in History, Irini E. Toliou, Head of Department. GAC of Rhodes and Syros, Suleiman Alayali – Tsialik, poet, Giorgos Zachariadis, journalist. The coordinator will be Petros Spanos, former school counselor.
