The book, which was created by the latvian Olympic Committee (LOK) in cooperation with the Latvian Paralympic Committee (LPK), has 253 pages.
“The achievements were excellent. Vrey high results were achieved in many sports.I beleive that the next games will be in an even more magnificent book with a larger number of pages,” said LOK president Raimonds Lazdins.
“For the first time ther is a book like this together with the Olympians – it is indeed historic,” added LPK president daiga Dadzite.
The publication reflects not only the events of the games, but also the experiences of the athletes and the delegation, as well as provides an insight into each sport and discipline, shows activities that are not related to sports fields and arenas.
The book contains both short descriptions and extensive photo galleries, and also included square codes, which, along with already existing sportsmen’s business cards, allow access to a wider coverage of facts and multimedia materials in the digital habitat.
At the Olympic Games in Paris, the Latvian delegation for the second time since the restoration of independence remained without awards at the summer Games, while at the Paralympic Games Latvian athletes won three gold and one silver medal.
