US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan announced today that US President Joe Biden will meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday at the UN General Assembly. The main topic of discussion will be the restraint of Iran.

Sullivan stated, “Biden and Netanyahu will discuss a variety of regional and bilateral issues, which are focused on the democratic values ​​shared by both countries and a vision for a more prosperous region.”

In addition to the meeting with Netanyahu, Sullivan also revealed that Biden will be meeting with a series of other leaders on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will meet with Biden the following day at the White House in Washington.

When asked about a potential meeting with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, and discussions on the normalization efforts with Israel, Sullivan replied, “I am not aware that the Crown Prince is coming to the UN General Assembly, but we do not have a scheduled meeting with him next week.”
