In commemoration of the 203 years of Independence of the Nation, the President of the Republic, Nayib Bukele and the First Lady Gabriela de Bukele, led the Raising Ceremony of the Central American Flags, as a symbol of brotherhood with the countries of the region.
The flags of the countries in the region waved alongside the Salvadoran flag, rising together to the top.
The Prayer to the Salvadoran Flag was recited by student Daniela Navarrete and in sign language by Daniela Hidalgo.
During the ceremony, a minute of silence was observed to honor the memory and legacy of the heroes who lost their lives in the line of duty on September 8 in an airplane accident in the San Eduardo canton, Pasaquina, La Unión. The contribution of the heroes was fundamental in bringing the peace and tranquility that the Salvadoran people so longed for.
