The president has expressed his appreciation to those who have carried out their duties in total service to the Salvadoran people and, at the same time, thanked “the excellent willingness to assume new functions.”

San Salvador. President Nayib Bukele has made changes in his government cabinet in the last few hours, “to give continuity to his work at the service of all sectors of Salvadoran society.”

In this context, Alejandro Zelaya, who until last Monday was Minister of Finance, has been appointed and sworn in as Country Director of the Central American Bank for Economic Integration.

Jerson Posada is now Zelaya’s substitute, in the Treasury Portfolio, but he will be interim, according to the Presidency’s Press Secretary; Posada was the Vice Minister of that same Portfolio.

Meanwhile, President Nayib Bukele has also appointed and sworn in Evelyn Marisol Gracias as the new Superintendent of the Financial System (SSF).

The Press Secretary pointed out that the president has expressed his appreciation to those who have performed their functions in total service to the Salvadoran people and, at the same time, thanked “the excellent willingness to assume new functions.”
