President Evariste Ndayishimiye calls on the Burundian diaspora to invest more in the development projects of their homeland

In his aim of promoting the Burundian economy, he also stressed that he practices in Muyinga, precisely in Kobero, a cultivation of corn and beans on an area of ​​more than ten hectares where he also plans to plant avocados for processing and export, in order to be able to generate foreign currency.

In his speech, the President of the Republic His Excellency Evariste Ndayishimiye congratulated him for this very profitable project and thanked him for thinking of his native country by initiating this more important project. He took this opportunity to appeal to any member of the Burundian diaspora to undertake at least one project per year costing 2000 US dollars and even more.
“This could contribute to increasing the pace of development of Burundi, because the country cannot build itself,” noted His Excellency Evariste Ndayishimiye, before also calling on Burundians to love their own country and to to be proud.

Note that before this activity, the Presidential Couple joined the Christians of the Murayi Parish in Giheta commune of the Province of Gitega for the Eucharistic celebration of this 4th Sunday of Advent.
