After noting a remarkable delay in the work, given that the execution of the project is at 12% for six months, the Burundian Head of State did not hide his dissatisfaction.

He therefore decided to meet all the parties concerned so that clear explanations could be provided to him.

Speaking about this project to develop the transport corridor on Lake Tanganyika, the general director in charge of the Bujumbura Port Rehabilitation unit, Charbel Rizkallah raised the difficulties linked to the equipment which must soon arrive on the ground and certain imperfections linked to the studies do.

The INGECOTEC-BISA CONSULT-BICOTEC Group responsible for monitoring represented by Adel Hassine agreed in the same direction, while insisting that the project would not be executed without maritime equipment.

The Work Coordination Officer Émile Ndayikengurukiye provided more details before the Burundian Head of State recommended the involvement of all parties involved in the project and the establishment of a timetable of activities for the success of the project.
