The president of Centro Caribe Sports, Luis Mejía, made his last visit to El Salvador this Saturday morning prior to the Central American and Caribbean Games, which will take place from June 23 to July 8.

“I am extremely satisfied, very happy to see the dynamics, the organization and the final stretch of the delivery of the Villa Centroamericana and the sports facilities every time I come, this is the fifth time, this is the final supervision tour and I can tell him that we are going to be ready for the inauguration,” said Mejia, who was accompanied by Dinora Acevedo, general director of the San Salvador 2023 Organizing Committee.

The head of Centro Caribe Sports highlighted that the games open on the 23rd, but there are three sports that will start on June 21 and the delegations begin to arrive on June 18 at the Villa Centroamericana y del Caribe.

“Simply El Salvador has done a feat, it has done in a year and a half what is given to other countries to organize the Central American and Caribbean Games in six years. My appreciation to all of El Salvador, to its people, to its government, to COSSAN, to the volunteers, because they have put their soul, life and heart to finish the works to organize the games and to make an assembly worthy of our Central America and the Caribbean Mejia commented.

The president of Centro Caribe Sports inspected from the fleet of vehicles that will be used, the athlete reception areas, flag plaza, gym, warehouses, cultural area, playground, pool dining room and offices of the NOC National Olympic Committees.

“This nation will become the Central American and Caribbean nation of sports. We are ready to receive the athletes, I have seen a supervision of the details is ready, that is why I have insisted that in El Salvador a feat has been achieved for Central American and Caribbean sports.

During the afternoon, Mejía met with the coordinators of the sports venues, and those in charge of the sports that will be active during the games.
