President of Ukraine attends NATO summit amid a tense war situation

Ukrainian President Vladimir Selensky is reportedly attending a NATO summit in Spain. The Federation of NATO Nations has reportedly called on the President of Ukraine.

The conference will take place on June 28 and 29 in the Spanish capital, Madrid. For the first time, NATO members from the Pacific, including Australia, New Zealand, Japan and South Korea, will attend the conference.

According to NATO Deputy Secretary-General Mirzia Joanne, key discussions are underway to expand NATO. Finland and Sweden are set to join the organization. A decision on Ukraine will be reached soon. President Selensky has said he will attend our conference.

Earlier, a conference of NATO defense ministers was held in Brussels on June 15 and 16. This includes Georgia, Finland, Sweden and Ukraine. Therefore, key decisions on Ukraine’s integration into NATO are expected this month.

NATO is an organization formed by the United States and European nations against Soviet Russia. Russia’s neighbor Ukraine is trying to network with NATO. Russia has been waging a military offensive against Ukraine since February 24. The United Nations says the war is still raging, with some 1.4 million Ukrainians fleeing their homes.

And 1.57 crore people are without basic necessities like water and electricity. Following the war, Finland and Sweden also expressed interest in joining NATO.
