President Yoon Seok-yeol’s approval rating for his performance of state affairs reached 25.8%, breaking an all-time low in two weeks. The People Power Party’s approval rating also fell along with President Yoon’s approval rating, widening the gap with the Democratic Party of Korea by more than 10 percentage points.
In the 4th week of September, a survey of 2,507 voters over the age of 18 was conducted from the 23rd to the 27th by Realmeter, a public opinion polling company, on the 30th at the request of the Energy Economy Newspaper. The percentage of positive evaluations of President Yoon was 4.5 compared to the previous week. It fell by percentage points to 25.8%.
President Yoon recorded the lowest approval rating of his term at 27.0% in the second week of September, and recovered to the 30% level the previous week, but broke the lowest approval rating of his term this week.
The negative assessment that he was conducting state affairs poorly was 70.8%, up 4.6 percentage points from the previous week, reaching the 70% range for the first time in his term. The difference between positive and negative evaluations is 45%p, which is outside the margin of error.
A Real Meter official said, “President Yoon and People Power Party leader Han Dong-hoon competed for the spotlight without cooperation over a sales trip to the Czech Republic nuclear power plant and a private meeting with the president,” and added, “While the political difficulties such as empty-handed meetings and proxy wars between factions have not been resolved, suspicions of intervention in nominations have increased.” He assessed, “The core lines of the ideological conservatives, including the ideological conservatives, appear to have been shaken due to the overlap of the first lady’s risks.”

In a political party approval survey conducted among 1,003 adults on the 26th and 27th, the People Power Party recorded 29.9%, down 5.3 percentage points from the previous week, recording an approval rating in the 20% range for the first time since this administration. The Democratic Party recorded 43.2%, up 4.0 percentage points from the previous week, and the approval rating gap between the two parties widened to 13.3 percentage points, again outside the margin of error in a week.
The Fatherland Reform Party recorded 9.2%, up 0.1% from the previous week, followed by △ Independents 9.3% (0.4% P↑ compared to the previous week) △ New Reform Party 4.3% (0.2% ↓) △ Other political parties 2.3% (0.4% P↑) △ The Progressive Party was followed by 1.8% (0.6%P↑).

This survey was conducted using wireless (97%) and wired (3%) automated response methods and random dialing using a randomly generated sampling frame.
