The election to choose the 16th President of the country is going to be held tomorrow. As the term of Indian President Ram Nath Kovind ends on the 24th, the election for the next President will be held tomorrow. Former Jharkhand Governor Dirupati Murmu is contesting on behalf of the ruling BJP alliance, and Yashwant Sinha, a former Union minister and member of the Trinamool Congress, is the general candidate of the opposition parties.

The total number of MLAs in the DMK alliance is 133+18+4+2+2 = 159 people. So 159×176 = 27,984 votes.

The number of Lok Sabha MPs in the DMK alliance is 24+8+2+2+ = 38 people. Their votes are 38 × 700 = 26,600. Also, Rajya Sabha MPs in the coalition are 10+1+1 = 12 people. Their votes are 12×700 = 8400. Overall, 62,984 votes have been recorded for the candidate of the opposition parties on behalf of the DMK alliance.

Total MLAs in AIADMK alliance are 66+5+4 = 75 people. So 75×176 = 13,200 votes.

Lok Sabha MP in AIADMK alliance Only one. His votes are 1×700 = 700. And the Rajya Sabha MPs in the coalition are 4 + 1 + 1 = 6 people. Their votes are 6×700 = 4200. Overall, 31,300 votes have been recorded for the NDA candidate on behalf of the AIADMK alliance.

Counting of votes will be held on 21st. The results will be declared on the same day.
