To situate the presidential candidates, Le Parisien offers you a daily poll from Monday to Saturday – called “rolling poll” – carried out by Ipsos-Sopra Steria, with our partner Franceinfo. Here’s what to remember this Tuesday.
Macron is no longer lowering. The candidate president remains at the top of the polls, with 27% of voting intentions (+ 0.5%), ahead of Marine Le Pen (20.5%). The gap between the two is stable around 6 points but has narrowed significantly over the past two weeks. It could even be even smaller, if we take into account the margin of error (plus or minus 2.8 points). Jean-Luc Mélenchon is given 16.5% of voting intentions, benefiting from a small rebound of 0.5%. The “useful vote” effect among the undecided? The participation index goes to 70% (between 68% and 72%). Which means that if the ballot was held today, then around 70% of French people say they are certain to go and vote.
Pécresse and Zemmour in decline. Candidate LR obtains 8% of voting intentions five days before the election, it has been in constant decline for several days. The candidate may pay for a change of favorite candidate among François Fillon’s voters in 24 hours, with nearly 6 points won by Marine Le Pen from the latter’s electorate, while the former Prime Minister nevertheless brought his support for candidate LR this Sunday. The candidate Reconquest! is estimated at 10% of the vote, down half a point again on Tuesday. But Éric Zemmour regularly asserts that the polls “are wrong” because they would not take into account a possible “hidden vote” in his favor.
Second tour. The match remains Macron-Le Pen. The balance of power is 54-56 but with a high margin of error at 3.5 points. Among the French people certain to vote who intend to vote for Mélenchon in the 1st round of the Presidential election of 2022, 51% have not expressed their intention to vote for the 2nd round in the event that Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen would qualify.
