These helpless people need multi-faceted support including food, water and medicine for survival as well as safe shelter.

The government is making all-out efforts to help the flood-affected people. Besides, he mentioned that the anti-discrimination students are also providing their support.

Greeting and congratulating all the Hindus of the country on the occasion of ‘Shubh Janmashtami’, President Sahabuddin urged everyone to work together to advance the country irrespective of caste and religion.

He said, ‘Shri Krishna’s main philosophy was to remove injustice, oppression and conflict from the society and build genuine love and harmony between people.’

The President said, ‘Bangladesh is a country of communal harmony. Communal harmony is a unique feature of our culture to accelerate national progress and prosperity, existing harmony and mutual amity in the society must be maintained.’

Pointing out that the constitution guarantees equal rights to all citizens, the head of state said, “In order to move Bangladesh forward, we must work together regardless of caste and religion.”

He said, “The main message of all religions is human welfare and religious values ​​should be used for the welfare of the country and people.”
Md. Sahabuddin said, the promise of Janmashtami this year is to build a progressive and peaceful social system for the new generation in the bond of mutual sympathy, harmony and human values.

He requested everyone to maintain religious harmony in the society and behave in a tolerant and tolerant manner to promote harmony and cultural heritage in the international arena.
