Following numerous violations linked to cyberspace in recent times, a meeting took place between press associations, justice actors, security services, national advisors and OPROGEM this Thursday March 7, 2024.

In the room on September 28, there was talk of putting in place a means to put an end to this phenomenon of obscene images which trample on human values.
At the end of this meeting, the president of AGUIPEL, Amadou Tham Camara, declared this:

“This meeting with national advisors was in relation to problems linked to cyberspace, which concern the circulation of certain obscene videos. So it was a question of asking ourselves what is the press’s vision of what is happening. We have said what we think. For the press to be able to fully play its role, it must have all its means, and the press companies which are confused must find the means to exist so that they can contribute to raising awareness among those who are the authors of sharing these videos. . I think the message was heard, it was a very fruitful meeting, not only for the press but for all entities.”

On behalf of the National Transition Council (CNT), Mory Dounoh pointed out that this is an initiative that challenges us as human beings.

“We are expecting concrete and informed proposals which will nourish the reflection and help us come up with solutions (…) The conclusions of this meeting will help us to make recommendations by law,” he indicated.

The Attorney General at the Court of Appeal of Conakry, Fallou Doumbouya, advocated the combined efforts of all actors in socio-professional life. According to him, this is how the fight against this phenomenon will be 100% achieved.
“We are awaiting the results of these investigations and we will take legal action on these investigations,” concluded the magistrate on this subject.
