At the beginning of Shabbat, the Ihud Hatzalah call center received a call for help after worshipers in a synagogue in the Ezrat Torah neighborhood of Jerusalem pressed the emergency button on the designated device. This is due to a case in which one of the worshipers had a heart attack. Paramedics and a doctor from the “Zion” branch of the Rescue Union arrived at the scene.
Israel Horowitz, the first medic to arrive at the scene, saw before his eyes a gentleman without a pulse and breathing and resuscitation began, during which he connected the defibrillator device that was in his network that recommended 3 electric shocks.
In addition, with the assistance of the branch doctor Shlomo Gansler and after providing 3 electric shocks, the gentleman is fully conscious, accompanied by a rescue union doctor who joined the evacuation to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital.
