The minister decided on 7 July that a specific risk group will be vaccinated preventively against monkeypox / monkeypox. This decision can be read in this letter to Parliament. The GGDs are going to put these vaccinations on.
The various parties are currently looking at how these vaccinations can best be carried out, naturally making use of the extensive expertise that the GGDs have built up in the field of vaccination.
Vaccination is an important measure to prevent the spread of the virus. However, it is not the only measure. It remains important to be alert to symptoms of monkeypox and to follow the rules of life that infected persons and their contacts receive.
