Price of the galette des Rois on the rise: “We are going to have to start our margin”

Almost everywhere in France, the first galettes des Rois and their traditional crowns appeared on the stalls of merchants. And the conclusion is clear: this year again, its price will increase significantly. Xavier Bordet has just released the first batch of the new year’s flagship pastry. This baker, based in Arlanc (Puy-de-Dôme), warns: it will be necessary to pay 26 euros to taste a large galette for 10 to 12 people, or 2 euros more than in 2022.
