After a “red march” on supermarket shelves, the government promised a “green September” in the spring. “I can tell you with some certainty that at the start of the school year in September we will have a visible drop in prices on the shelves on food inflation”, declared Olivia Grégoire on France Inter on April 30. The Minister Delegate for Trade even expected prices to return “to what they were pre-inflation”.
