Newly appointed adviser to the Ministry of Primary and Public Education Dr. Vidhan Ranjan Roy Poddar said that quality primary education paves the way for good citizens, lays the foundations of nation building, and produces competent and patriotic citizens. Primary education is the stepping stone to progress and development of the nation.
He said this during an exchange of views with officials of ministries and organizations in the meeting room of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education at the Secretariat on Monday (August 12).
He said, primary education is a huge desire of the nation. You have to work with honesty, devotion and sincerity to fulfill this desire. Only then will it be possible to build a discrimination-free society.
Primary and Public Education Secretary Farid Ahmed presided over the meeting, Additional Secretary of the Ministry Nurjahan Khatun, Masud Akhtar Khan, Dr. Abu Shaheen Md. Asaduzzaman, Director General of Primary Education Directorate Abdus Samad, Director General of Non-formal Education Bureau Dr. Abul Kalam Azad and others were present.
Earlier, the primary and mass education secretary and officials of the ministry welcomed the adviser when he came to the secretariat for the first time after taking oath as adviser on Sunday (August 11).
